Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Central Arkansas Library System is looking for a full‑time Maintenance Technician to support 19 public library facilities. The role involves routine building and grounds upkeep, as well as responding to emergency maintenance needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform building and grounds maintenance, including electrical and plumbing fixture repairs.
• Repair lighting, doors, locks, and install shelving and furniture.
• Carry out painting, minor equipment repairs, and logistics support.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for emergency maintenance.

Required profile

• Related experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance and safety procedures and work independently.
• Valid Arkansas driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles and maintenance equipment (preferred).
