Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that residential properties remain safe, clean, and fully functional for occupants. You will handle routine repairs, prepare vacant units, and support the overall upkeep of the building and its amenities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance systems.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents by painting, cleaning, repairing, and installing fixtures and appliances.
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and amenities, including seasonal tasks such as snow removal or irrigation checks.
• Respond promptly to resident service requests and provide emergency coverage on a rotating basis.
• Document work orders, upload before‑and‑after photos, and track materials and labor in the property management system.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and fair‑housing guidelines.
• Coordinate with property managers, leasing staff, and external contractors as needed.

Required profile

• Prior experience in apartment, commercial, or residential maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Comfort working in confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
