Maintenance Technician II

About the role

Lewis Energy Group, a vertically integrated energy and production company based in South Texas, is hiring a Maintenance Technician II in Encinal, TX. The technician provides basic building and premises maintenance for office, industrial and ranch environments to company personnel, working Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with overtime when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to trouble calls, assess problems and carry out repairs of average to considerable difficulty using internal and external resources.
• Inspect, identify and correct facility, equipment and system problems; plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Document work, purchase orders, travel claims, bids and material lists, obtain estimates and order and stock supplies for repairs, scheduled maintenance and emergencies.
• Reconfigure modular offices, install signage and recommend building modifications to supervisors.
• Keep up with technology, advise personnel and contractors on job requirements and future projects, and prepare inspection and estimate reports.
• Train co-workers in preventive maintenance, instruct vendors and contractors on proper use of equipment and materials, and oversee them so work meets state requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong verbal and written communication and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel overnight regularly; housing assistance may be available for candidates relocating from outside the Laredo/Encinal area, including San Antonio.

Required skills

• TDLR Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
• EPA HVAC/R Universal Certification preferred.
• Plumbing License preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of standard industry and OSHA safety practices.
• Familiarity with local, state and federal rules and regulations for maintenance work.
