Maintenance Technician I

About the role

Lewis Energy Group, a vertically integrated exploration and production company and leading natural gas producer in South Texas, is hiring a Maintenance Technician I in Encinal, TX. The role provides basic building and premises maintenance for office, industrial and ranch environments to company personnel, with first response to trouble calls and average to considerable difficulty in building maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, identify and correct facility, equipment and system problems to keep properties and equipment safe and prevent failures.
• Plan and schedule corrective action and preventive maintenance to repair or modify defects and keep facilities, equipment and systems operating.
• Document work, work orders, purchase orders and material lists, and request supplies and materials for projects, scheduled maintenance and emergencies.
• Reconfigure, install, position and remount modular offices and spaces to fit user needs and maximize office space.
• Travel weekly to various properties; must be willing to travel overnight regularly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or 1 year of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong verbal and written communication and time management skills.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed and to work M-F, 8am-5pm.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, hydraulic and other systems.
• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Basic computer and smart device skills.
• Familiarity with local, state and federal rules and regulations for maintenance work.
