Maintenance Technician – Garden Style Property

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Madison, supporting a stabilized garden‑style apartment community of 296 units. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company procedures.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain up‑to‑date paperwork for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to work a Tuesday‑Saturday schedule with on‑call availability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
