Maintenance Supervisor – Vanguard Student Living

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor for the Vanguard student‑living community is responsible for overseeing and performing technical and mechanical work across one or more properties. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders, diagnose issues and perform repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Develop and uphold standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, interiors, signage, parking areas and other community spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members and external contractors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative‑maintenance procedures and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, preferably in multi‑unit residential settings.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical manuals and building codes.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling vendors, managing inventory and tracking maintenance activities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and Greystar’s service standards.
