LPN - Orthopaedic Surgery - PRN

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital’s Orthopaedics team as a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse. You will provide patient‑centered care for post‑operative and pre‑surgical orthopaedic patients, assisting with injections, medication administration, and sterile site preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients, including medication administration and injections.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
• Implement pain management assessments and report changes in patient status to the Charge Nurse or physicians.
• Educate patients, families, and others about care plans and follow National Patient Safety Goals.
• Adhere to infection control practices and follow Code Blue protocol.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and computer literacy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred, with phlebotomy, orthopaedic, or related background.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Phlebotomy skills (preferred).
• Computer literacy for documentation and technology use.
