About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse will support the Neurological Surgery department at Florida Weston Hospital, providing patient‑centered care during day shifts (8:00 am‑5:00 pm). The role involves direct assistance to caregivers and collaboration with RNs and physicians.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care, administer medication, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Complete authorization forms, laboratory requisitions, and pain‑management assessments.
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Code Blue protocol, and infection‑control practices.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program and Florida LPN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- One year of clinical LPN experience preferred.
Required skills
- Knowledge of infection‑control practices.
- Computer literacy and experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
