LPN – Cord Blood Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse will work night shifts in the Labor & Delivery unit at Hillcrest Hospital, focusing on cord blood collection and patient education. The role supports the Cord Blood Center and collaborates closely with RN staff.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, document, and report cord blood samples at the time of delivery.
- Educate patients and families about cord blood donation options.
- Assist RN with patient observations, medication administration, and routine lab tests.
- Implement care plans directed by RN and contribute to plan revisions.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program.
- Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Preferably one year of patient care experience.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ohio LPN licensure.
