Locum Primary Care Physician – $130-$140/hr in Elkhart, TX

About the role

We are seeking a board‑certified Primary Care Physician to join a float‑pool team in Elkhart, Texas on a locum tenens basis. This 13‑week assignment starts on July 1, 2026 and offers a competitive hourly rate of $130‑$140.

Key responsibilities

• Provide scheduled primary care services to patients, including preventive care, acute illness management, and chronic disease follow‑up.
• Maintain a standard 5‑day, 8‑hour shift schedule (07:00‑19:00) with no on‑call duties.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the facility’s electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the float‑pool network to ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Medical degree and active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas.
• Board certification or eligibility in Primary Care (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics).
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting.
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new practice environments.
