Litigation Support Specialist - Automotive Warranty Cases

About the role

MSX International, a partner to automotive brands for more than 25 years, is expanding a program that supports legal counsel in warranty litigation matters involving automotive technical issues. The Lead Technical Litigation Support Specialist helps legal counsel with warranty cases, coordinates participation in lemon law seminars, performs vehicle inspections and reports findings to legal counsel. Local travel to designated dealerships is part of the day-to-day.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate cases on technical merit and report on all evaluations and technical inspections
• Perform vehicle inspections to assess customer concerns, vehicles and repair processes
• Take part in discussions and meetings as a subject matter expert
• Liaise with legal counsel to coordinate and take part in lemon law seminars
• Support legal case compilation and review technical cases

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience
• High school diploma or GED required; a BA degree or current ASE certification is preferred, though previously certified individuals will be considered
• Ability to travel locally and regionally to dealerships
• Ability to work independently and manage a progressive workload in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Analyze and document vehicle case updates using Microsoft Excel
• Analyze data and create custom reports from provided templates
• Communicate technical information to all levels
• Use MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
