Line Cook

About the role

Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club is a public-access daily fee golf course with a full-service restaurant and banquet space. It is looking for experienced full-time or part-time line cooks to join its kitchen staff. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and team player who enjoys cooking, working with people and taking on more responsibility in the kitchen.

Shifts: morning 6:00am-2:30pm, afternoon with a flexible start between 2:00pm and 4:00pm until close. Days off are flexible, and availability on weekends and holidays is required.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food daily and plate all items in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Follow recipe and presentation guidelines to meet or exceed guests' expectations.
• Coordinate food orders so they are delivered to each table on time.
• Fill out prep lists and inventory sheets accurately.
• Supervise food production in the absence of the supervisor.
• Meet special guest requests while keeping the same high quality standards.

Required profile

• 2 or more years of experience in a fast-paced, fine dining restaurant.
• Culinary school or certification preferred.
• Current food handler certification required to work in a restaurant, or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
• Professional manner with management staff and other employees.
