Lead Saute Cook

About the role

Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club is a public-access daily fee golf course with a full-service restaurant and banquet space for weddings, company meetings and other celebrations. It is looking for an experienced Lead Saute Cook, full time or part time, to join its kitchen staff. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and team player who enjoys cooking, working with people and taking on more responsibility in the kitchen.

Hours are from 1:00 pm until closing (around 10:00 pm), with a flexible start time. Availability on weekends and holidays is required.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food daily and plate all items in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Follow recipe and presentation guidelines to meet or exceed guests' expectations.
• Coordinate food orders so they are delivered to each table on time and efficiently.
• Fill out prep lists and inventory sheets accurately.
• Supervise food production in the absence of the supervisor.
• Meet special guest requests while keeping the same high quality standards.

Required profile

• 2 or more years of experience in a fast-paced, fine dining restaurant.
• Culinary school or certification preferred.
• Able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
• Current food handler certification required to work in a restaurant, or able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Professional manner with management staff and other employees.
