Lifeguard Supervisor - Loews Hotels Universal Orlando

About the role

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is looking for an experienced Recreation Supervisor to lead the pool services and provide safe, enjoyable pool experiences for resort guests. The role leads a team of seasonal recreation attendants and covers the pool, beach, guest shuttle and pickle ball courts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain guest safety in all pool areas and ensure consistent adherence to pool safety standards
• Keep all pool safety equipment in good condition
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the pool, beach, guest shuttle and pickle ball courts
• Coordinate the welcome of arriving guests and the immediate provision of towels, and supervise towel inventory
• Supervise guest pool activities such as pool movie nights and children's interactive activities, and partner with outside vendors on activity schedules
• Help prepare weekly schedules for the recreation attendant team and train, spot-check and coach them
• Supervise the issuance and inventory of recreational equipment, and the cleaning, maintenance and placement of pool furniture
• Attend departmental meetings and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• At least one year of recreation or aquatics supervisory experience
• Natural leader able to inspire and motivate a large team of seasonal staff
• Excellent guest service, oral and written communication, and English verbal and written communication
• Strong swimming ability and water confidence
• Able to complete lifeguard certification, including written and physical exams; licensed Lifeguard Instructor certification preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
