Commercial Kitchen Mechanic

About the role

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is hiring a Commercial Kitchen Mechanic to repair, overhaul, maintain and service industrial and commercial cooking and refrigeration units. The role suits someone with hands-on experience in commercial kitchen equipment and who can work a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and determine the appropriate repairs.
• Repair or replace parts and provide preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Order supplies and parts, maintain inventory, obtain bids and negotiate with vendors for parts and repair services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
• EPA certification required.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to regularly push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Effective communication in English with team members, leaders and guests.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, including basic familiarity with Windows-based systems.
• Commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment repair.
