Licensed Practical Nurse – Urology Clinic

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will join the Urology Integrated Surgical Institute at Florida Weston Hospital, supporting complex oncology patients and a high‑volume outpatient clinic. The role involves direct patient care, medication administration, and coordination of diagnostic and procedural services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor patients, record and report changes in condition, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures such as biopsies and cystoscopies.
• Manage inbox messages, prior authorizations, and provide patient and family education.
• Support clinic efficiency by handling paperwork, completing authorization forms, and adhering to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program and Florida LPN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred.
• One year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and computer literacy.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Medication administration and patient monitoring.
