Legal Assistant – Personal Injury Law

About the role

Joubert Law Firm is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to support its personal injury practice in Baton Rouge. This full‑time, on‑site role offers the chance to work closely with attorneys and clients, helping to move cases from inception to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Open new client files and send letters of representation.
• Maintain frequent communication with clients, insurance adjusters, and other parties.
• Draft settlement demands and assist attorneys with pleadings, correspondence, and scheduling.
• Update and manage case management software.
• Provide administrative support throughout the litigation process.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, compassionate, and service‑focused.
• Self‑motivated, responsible, and trustworthy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and make timely decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience using case management software.
• Familiarity with LexisNexis research tools.
