Lecturer – Leadership Studies (Non‑Tenure Track)

About the role

The School of Professional Education & Community Engagement at Texas A&M University‑Texarkana seeks a Lecturer for its Leadership Studies programs. This non‑tenure‑track, 9‑month faculty position involves teaching five courses each fall and spring semester and contributing to curriculum development and regional partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Teach face‑to‑face, web‑enhanced, and online courses within the Leadership programs.
• Provide timely feedback and support to promote student success.
• Offer academic advising to adult learners.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees, especially those related to post‑traditional students and competency‑based education.
• Collaborate with community partners to expand professional education offerings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Adult Education, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of experience working with adult learners.
• Demonstrated teaching excellence across multiple delivery modes (face‑to‑face, online, hybrid).
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems and online classroom management tools.
• Knowledge of computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
