Leasing Professional – The Cottages at Erie Commons

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for The Cottages at Erie Commons. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect outreach to move‑in, while ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to resolve any issues, and ensure units are ready for new residents.
• Monitor market and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and maintain prospect and resident data.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to engage and qualify prospective residents.
• Attention to detail for apartment inspections and move‑in readiness.
• Awareness of local market trends and competitor offerings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
• Experience using online marketing tools such as Craigslist and Facebook.
