Lead Risk Management

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Risk Management professional to support its assurance program and help build robust control frameworks across its services. The role involves collaborating with internal partners, application owners, and auditors to ensure compliance with key certifications and manage risk effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Support assurance program and engage with internal partners to develop control frameworks for certifications such as SOC1, SOC2, ISAE, etc.
• Document data flows with application owners using Data Flow Diagrams.
• Work with auditors to test control frameworks, track remediation, and report on assurance and risk assessment results.
• Execute control assessments across operational and business areas to identify risks or gaps.
• Develop and maintain reports, metrics, and presentations for customers and regulators.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with autonomy.
• Experience with control frameworks (SOC1, SOC2, ISAE3402/3000, ISO27001, GDPR).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Analytical and data‑storytelling abilities to drive change.

Required skills

• Access Management experience (platforms, applications, databases).
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CIPP (a plus).

What we offer

• Competitive base salary ranging from $109,000 to $180,000 USD.
