Lead Product Manager – Ledger Subscriber Ecosystem

About the role

BILL is looking for a senior product leader to own the Ledger Subscriber Ecosystem, turning the TrueNorth financial ledger into the operating backbone for internal finance functions such as Treasury, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Audit and Payment Operations. This role focuses on building reports, dashboards, data products, portals, APIs and workflows that reduce manual reconciliation and improve audit posture.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own a 3‑year vision, strategy and roadmap for the Ledger Subscriber Ecosystem, aligning with Project TrueNorth priorities.
• Build and ship subscriber platform capabilities including reconciliation reports, exception queues, cash positioning views and ledger‑backed data products for analytics.
• Drive adoption of ledger‑based workflows across finance teams, replacing spreadsheets and manual processes.
• Act as the single‑threaded owner across Product, Engineering, Data Platform and finance stakeholders, translating discovery findings into clear PRDs.
• Represent subscriber needs in ledger architecture decisions and set measurable outcome metrics such as TPV on‑ledger and reconciliation time reduction.

Required profile

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in fintech, payments or enterprise SaaS focused on financial data, reconciliation or treasury.
• Proven track record building products for internal finance or operations users and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Strong ability to lead cross‑functional programs involving Finance, Risk, Compliance and Legal without formal authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive narratives and stakeholder alignment.

Required skills

• Experience with financial ledger systems, GL and sub‑ledger platforms.
• Familiarity with event‑driven data architectures such as Kafka or Flink.
• Knowledge of vendors like Fragment or Modern Treasury.
• Understanding of SOX controls, audit requirements and regulatory reporting.
