About the role

The Lead Phlebotomy Technician supports the Team Leader in coordinating daily operations of the outreach phlebotomy staff for the Sales Outreach Department. This position provides mobile phlebotomy services to nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and other care facilities while ensuring timely specimen collection and delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties across multiple patient locations.
  • Distribute and balance workload among traveling phlebotomists and lab processing staff.
  • Assist with supervisory duties, including hiring, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for new staff and ongoing education for the outreach team.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of current phlebotomy experience.
  • Ability to travel to patient locations and handle physical demands of the role.

Required skills

  • Phlebotomy and blood‑drawing techniques.
  • Specimen handling and processing.
  • Use of mobile phlebotomy equipment and documentation tools.
