Lead Marine Carpenter – Heavy Construction & On‑Water Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Marine Carpenter to oversee marine construction and repair projects. The role involves heavy framing, pile driving, and on‑water operations using commercial barges and support boats.

Key responsibilities

• Install pilings, bulkheads, structural framing, piers, decking, and roof trusses.
• Operate a vibro unit on a tractor/trackhoe to drive pylons, using water jets when needed.
• Safely operate a 20x40 commercial barge and support boats to transport crew, tools, and materials.
• Assemble and install hydraulic boat lifts.
• Perform light electrical work on 120V lift controls, solar charging units, and battery tenders.
• Inspect and maintain oil, fluids, and fuel on boats and tractors daily.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of marine construction or heavy carpentry experience.
• Valid State of Alabama Boater's License (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Proven ability to safely operate tractors/trackhoes and commercial‑size vessels.
• Strong focus on quality control and clear communication with leadership.
