About the role
The VSL2 Lead Machine Operator works on the 2nd shift in Bosch's Lincolnton Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center. The role supports production by ensuring machines run efficiently and meet key performance indicators.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Process Technician with machine setups, changeovers, autonomous maintenance, and tuning.
- Operate machines as needed to achieve production KPIs.
- Diagnose and repair hard‑metal handling issues and perform basic welding repairs.
- Train new operators and provide assistance to existing operators.
- Change electrodes and replace grinding wheels.
Required profile
- Strong mechanical skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform precision measuring.
- Knowledge of lockout‑tagout procedures.
- Understanding of HMIs and CNC program offsets.
