Lead Epic Analyst - Beaker (Hybrid)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a Lead Epic Analyst for its Beaker system in a hybrid setting. Reporting to the Director of Applications, the Lead Epic Analyst acts as a liaison between user departments and the software vendors, leads a team of analysts and support staff, and helps implement and maintain physician and clinical applications and workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, assign and monitor the workload of team members, evaluate performance and guide them when needed
• Anticipate and define problems, taking part in root cause analysis
• Take part in designing, testing, building changes and upgrades
• Conduct routine audits and assessments of EHR utilization and recommend improvements to leadership
• Provide ad-hoc training and mentoring, and build relationships with team members, medical staff and physician practices
• Participate in the change advisory board, on-call rotation and hospital and Patient Care Services committees
• Follow hospital and personnel policies and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or IT
• At least 3 years of healthcare experience in a healthcare information services department; 5 years preferred
• Work history in healthcare IT and prior analyst experience with scheduling and registration systems
• Prior experience with Epic's Cadence and Prelude modules is a plus
• Knowledge of scheduling and registration operations, payer authorization and how scheduling practices affect the medical record flow

Required skills

• Epic certification required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
