Epic Inpatient ClinDoc Analyst

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring an Epic Inpatient ClinDoc Analyst. The role configures and supports Inpatient ClinDoc applications within the Epic EHR, acting as a liaison between end users, operational leaders, support resources and vendors to design, build and optimize applications. It also provides application support and optimization, analyzing business issues, requirements and workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary support contact for application end users and identify and resolve issues affecting their application and other teams.
• Guide workflow design, build and test the system, and analyze technical issues related to Epic software.
• Implement requested system changes and serve as a bridge between end-user workflow needs and Epic implementation staff.
• Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, including weekly project team meetings, and work with the business community and end users to meet project deliverables and timelines.
• Attend site visits and integrated sessions to understand operational needs and set the direction of workflows.
• Participate in training, troubleshoot problems and questions, and review project status and issues with leadership.
• Hold weekly team communications on deliverables, issues, end-user concerns, budget and milestones, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or equivalent healthcare or IT experience.
• Epic certified in the respective application upon hire or obtained within 9 months of employment.
• Registered nurse or allied health professional.
• Prior analyst experience with inpatient clinical systems and knowledge of inpatient clinical operations such as order entry and clinical documentation.
• Knowledge of inpatient/OB nursing workflows and a work history in healthcare.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience with Clinical Documentation Inc, Stork L&D, Secure Chat and Rover is a plus.
