Epic Beaker Application Analyst (Hybrid)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring an Epic Beaker Application Analyst on a hybrid basis. The role configures and supports clinical applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software, helping members get accurate, secure and efficient patient care and provider workflows, medical and billing information, Care Aware and Beaker Anatomic Pathology.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and support clinical applications in Epic, including complex builds and configurations for inpatient applications and orderable/performable tests or procedures
• Take part in planning, implementation and go-live, including on-site work, gathering specifications, documenting process gaps, demonstrating builds and tracking risks and requests
• Follow standards such as shared versus separate build guidelines, change control, naming conventions, data migration and incident tracking
• Monitor support tickets, document activities and resolve issues within agreed service levels
• Under the direction of senior team members, perform workflow analysis and design, run system tests and downtime tests, and support upgrades and optimization
• Help develop user training content and support training sessions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of college education and 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Work history in healthcare and knowledge of laboratory operations
• Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills
• Threshold requirements completed annually: Joint Commission education, TB/PPD surveillance, and maintenance of required licenses or certifications

Required skills

• Epic certified in the respective application upon hire or obtained within 9 months
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Preferred: DI certification, prior LIS experience, and prior Epic Beaker Lab experience
