Laundry Valet Attendant

About the role

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is hiring a Laundry Valet Attendant. The role ensures smooth execution of daily laundry operations, from collecting guest laundry to delivering finished garments to guest rooms, while working closely with the housekeeping and laundry teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, tag, log and sort guest laundry and dry-cleaning items, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
• Inspect garments for stains, damage or special-care needs and report concerns to leadership.
• Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, steamers and presses according to safety standards.
• Press and finish garments to brand standards and deliver them to guest rooms, following security and key-handling protocols.
• Package, label and prepare completed items, keeping work areas clean and helping with inventory of detergents, solvents, supplies and equipment.
• Communicate guest preferences, rush orders and special requests to leadership.
• Support housekeeping and laundry teams with linens, uniforms or special projects, and follow environmental, safety and sanitation guidelines including chemical storage and PPE.

Required profile

• Valid Florida driver's license is required.
• Minimum of six months of experience in a dry-cleaning or high-volume laundry operation is preferred.
• Ability to handle the expected number of laundry items per shift, with timely pickup and delivery.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with team members, leaders and guests.
• Regular attendance and completion of all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

Required skills

• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for extended periods; cargo van driving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and follow chemical handling and equipment safety procedures.
