Laboratory Technician I – Pre‑analytical Specialist

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Technician I to support pre‑analytical and post‑analytical processes within its clinical laboratory. The role involves handling specimens from collection through archiving, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pre‑analytical activities: collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving of laboratory specimens.
• Receive, store, and inventory reagents in the facility and within LabVantage.
• Oversee inventory management and maintain accurate stock records.
• Perform post‑analytical tasks such as sample disposition and archive send‑outs.
• Contribute to laboratory maintenance and address specimen inquiries from Eurofins DPT clients.
• Recommend improvements to services, processes, and policies to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience, preferably new to the clinical laboratory testing environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• LabVantage (laboratory information management system).
• Inventory management.
