Lab Associate - Hematology

About the role

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA is seeking a Lab Associate - Hematology to perform routine hematology laboratory testing and analysis supporting clinical trial research. The role produces accurate analytical data, maintains regulatory compliance and contributes to efficient laboratory operations in a fast-paced environment. Two shifts are available: Sunday to Thursday 4pm-12:30am and Tuesday to Saturday 6pm-11:30pm.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze biological specimens and document results according to SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Evaluate results using laboratory computer systems and verify data accuracy
• Identify, document and escalate unusual results or discrepancies to senior laboratory personnel
• Prepare buffers, reagents and solutions, and store samples and reagents per protocol
• Help with housekeeping under 6S standards and monitor inventory levels
• Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders and support continuous improvement

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; some CAP/CLIA locations may require a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology
• 6 months of relevant lab experience
• Basic knowledge of laboratory principles, GLP and regulatory standards, and laboratory equipment and terminology
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk frequently, and work closely with eyes; occasional cold exposure

• Base pay range of $35,900 to $74,800 annually, depending on qualifications, location and schedule
