About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026‑27 school year at Park Avenue. The teacher will lead a vibrant classroom of young learners, fostering a love of learning and supporting each child’s social, emotional, and academic growth.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned with California standards and the district’s curriculum.
- Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and collaborate with support staff.
- Participate in professional development and district meetings.
Required profile
- Valid California teaching credential (CLAD or English Learner Authorization).
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Any amount of verified certificated teaching experience (full credit for each year).
- Commitment to a full‑time schedule: 7 hours per day, 186 days per year.
Required skills
- Classroom management and lesson‑planning abilities.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and strategies for English learners.
What we offer
- Salary range $56,443 – $126,004 per year, with additional $2,500 for a master’s degree or $5,000 for a doctorate.
