About the role

The school is seeking a qualified Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role focuses on creating a nurturing, flexible classroom environment that supports early learning, personal growth, and a smooth transition into formal schooling.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, and physical education following the district curriculum.
• Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse mental, physical, and emotional needs of young learners.
• Maintain classroom behavior standards while preserving a warm, informal kindergarten atmosphere.
• Assess and record academic and social progress, communicating regularly with parents through conferences and other channels.
• Collaborate with school staff to address health, attitude, and learning challenges.
• Organize classroom displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers to enhance the learning environment.
• Participate in professional development, faculty committees, and extracurricular activities as required.

Required profile

• Mississippi Educator License (or equivalent certification accepted by the Board).
• BA or BS degree in Education or a related field.
• Strong belief that all students can learn and commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
• Ability to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
