Junior RF Engineer

About the role

Amentum is recruiting a Junior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to perform RF test, evaluation, integration and configuration evaluations of US Navy warfare systems in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Electromagnetic Effects Division (B50).

Key responsibilities

• Perform environmental Electromagnetic Effects (E3) computation and RF modeling and simulation.
• Analyze electronic warfare (EW), communication and radar systems.
• Develop detailed test plans, take part in test planning meetings and test readiness reviews, and carry out RF / E3 testing.
• Gather, reduce and post-process results, analyze them, and prepare and publish detailed test reports.
• Review technical documentation and support technical meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline.
• One year of experience in the theoretical and practical aspects of RF / microwave test and evaluation.
• Active SECRET US Government clearance; US citizenship is required to obtain it.
• Preferred: Electrical Engineering degree focused on RF / microwave / antenna engineering, and demonstrated experience in RF engineering and analysis, E3 / EMI / EMC, or RF computation and simulation.

Required skills

• Experience with MATLAB and RF modeling / simulation software.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, etc.).
