About the role

VetsEZ is seeking a Junior Appian Integration Developer to support a large federal government healthcare modernization project. The role is 100% remote within the continental United States and involves building and maintaining integrations between the Appian platform and Department of Veterans Affairs systems.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with project leads to define integration architecture, technical specifications, and interface requirements throughout the service development lifecycle.
Design, develop, and maintain secure connections using REST, SOAP, JDBC, SMTP, CMIS, JMS, and other integration technologies.
Integrate Appian solutions with micro‑services, databases, legacy systems, and file‑transfer processes supporting inbound and outbound data exchanges.
Create and maintain Integration Control Documents, interface specifications, architecture diagrams, and design standards.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, MIS or related field.
At least two years of relevant IT experience and three years of experience with Appian application delivery, plug‑in development, or BPM integration.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Government/Public Trust clearance.

Required skills

Appian platform, plug‑in development, and BPM concepts.
REST and SOAP web services, APIs, middleware, and micro‑service integration.
Java, J2EE, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, SQL.
Application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, Tomcat.
AWS GovCloud services (Lambda, Step Functions, Secrets Manager, S3, CloudWatch, EC2, ECS) and GitHub.
DevSecOps, Agile delivery, and identity/access technologies (SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP).
