Joint Faculty Positions in Engineering & Architecture (Assistant to Professor)

About the role

The College of Engineering and the School of Architecture at the University of Miami are jointly inviting applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Successful candidates will work at the interface of engineering and architecture, contributing to interdisciplinary research, teaching, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead collaborative research initiatives across the College of Engineering, School of Architecture, and related institutes.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in relevant interdisciplinary subjects.
• Mentor students and junior faculty, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community.
• Engage in service activities within the university and professional societies.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in engineering, architecture, or a related discipline (Ph.D. required for architecture candidates; engineering candidates may have a terminal degree).
• Demonstrated record of research excellence consistent with the rank applied for.
• Strong teaching ability and a clear vision for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Commitment to contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
