IT Supply Chain Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Hy-Vee offers a paid, flexible summer 2027 internship in its Corporate Office in Grimes, Iowa, within the IT Supply Chain department. Selected interns receive hands-on experience in their assigned area and report to the Director, IT Supply Chain. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service in all employee interactions, showing care, concern and patience.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commitment to the Hy-Vee mission and willingness to promote the company's values.
• Ability to solve practical problems with varied variables and limited standardization, and to interpret instructions.
• Strong computer and analytical skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, well organized and able to multi-task.
• Able to perform light work of up to 20 pounds occasionally, with normal vision, depth perception and color vision.

Required skills

• Arithmetic and calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
