Ecommerce Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Hy-Vee is offering a paid, flexible summer 2027 internship in its Corporate Office, based in Grimes. The intern reports to the AVP, Ecommerce and gains hands-on experience in the assigned area. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service with care, concern and patience in all interactions.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commitment to the Hy-Vee mission and willingness to promote the company's values.
• Ability to solve practical problems with varied variables and limited standardization, and to interpret instructions.
• Strong computer and analytical skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, well organized and able to multi-task.
• Able to handle a fast pace in an office setting and multiple situations every day.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, grasp and perform repetitive motions.

Required skills

• Arithmetic involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
