Interventional Technologist - Neuro Interventional Radiology

About the role

The Interventional Technologist supports cutting‑edge neuro‑interventional procedures at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, providing technical assistance, imaging acquisition, and patient care in a high‑volume vascular lab.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize sterile or aseptic techniques to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after exams.
• Record and maintain procedural data, including injection data, fluoroscopic time, and other procedural information.
• Monitor, clean, and repair equipment and systems as needed.
• Participate in periodic in‑service programs and professional affiliation sessions to learn new technical information.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Preferred: one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist and certification in Cardiovascular‑Interventional Radiography or Vascular‑Interventional Radiology.

Required skills

• Proficiency in sterile/aseptic technique for interventional procedures.
• Ability to acquire and post‑process diagnostic and interventional imaging.
• Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment for safe injection and imaging.
• Understanding of vascular anatomy, pathology, and related pharmacology.
