International Tour Director (Golf & Leisure Cruises)

About the role

Kalos Golf, part of Travelopia Group, offers small-group golf and leisure travel combining world-class courses with cultural experiences. It is looking for an experienced hospitality, travel or private club professional to join as an International Tour Director, based on-site in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As operational leader of each assigned program, you will deliver golf and leisure programs for discerning clients on luxury cruise vessels, private air journeys and land-based itineraries worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, personalized guest experience, anticipate needs, resolve concerns and stay solutions-focused when plans change
• Lead and support teams of 5+ colleagues on trips for 40-120 guests, communicating clearly and building relationships before, during and after each trip
• Develop and deliver operational itineraries, manage trip budgets of $1M+ and prepare plans, documentation and contingencies
• Manage daily tour schedules safely, efficiently and accurately
• Build relationships with hotels, cruise operators, golf clubs, transport providers, guides and destination partners, ensure contractual commitments are met and resolve disruptions quickly

Required profile

• Proven experience in hospitality, luxury travel, private club management, event operations, cruise operations, destination management or a related field
• Demonstrated success leading customer-facing operations for high-expectation clientele
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities on deadline
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including public speaking, and strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel for extended periods, about 4-6 times per year, including weekends and evenings
• Nice to have: golf operations knowledge, private club or escorted tour experience, event management and international travel exposure

• Nice to have: familiarity with Mac hardware, Golf Genius, FileMaker Pro and/or HubSpot

What we offer

• Base salary of $175,000 to $225,000 plus a performance-based bonus (5% target, up to 10%)
