Interim Service Technician – The Highlands

About the role

The Interim Service Technician will perform technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas at The Highlands meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This is a hands‑on position supporting resident requests and preventative maintenance on a stabilized 556‑unit property.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience in a residential or property‑management setting.
• Ability to work Tuesday‑Saturday, 9 am‑6 pm with on‑call duties as needed.
• Familiarity with Yardi property‑management software.
