Intensive Support Social Worker

About the role

We are recruiting Intensive Support Social Workers across North Carolina, focusing on Murphy and surrounding regions, to provide direct child welfare practice and support permanency planning.

Key responsibilities

• Complete backlog assessment cases and conduct assessment initiations.
• Support Family In-Home Services and permanency planning through visits, case planning, and related activities.
• Participate in after‑hours and weekend on‑call rotations.
• Ensure practice aligns with federal and state law, policy, and best practices.
• Partner with counties to carry cases, with anticipated expansion in 2026.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a North Carolina CPS Social Worker or Supervisor.
• Deep knowledge of NC child welfare policy, practice standards, CQI processes, and family engagement.
• Willingness to travel across North Carolina and maintain flexible work hours.
• Ability to manage personal and organizational change with flexibility and emotional regulation.

Required skills

• Strong technology skills and ability to work independently while representing company values.
• Forensic training preferred.
