Insurance Service Associate

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency is hiring an Insurance Service Associate in Birmingham. The associate works as a supportive member of a team for the benefit of external and internal clients and company personnel, maintaining open communication and acting with responsiveness, urgency and professionalism. The role involves customer data entry, office support, processing endorsements and audits, and supporting the service and production team.

Key responsibilities

• Complete customer data entry according to procedures.
• Manage inventory of office supplies, oversee ordering, receive deliveries and organize storage areas.
• Process endorsements, audits, execute bonds, bond documents, bond checks and certificates.
• Invoice premiums related to clients.
• Open, distribute, scan and route mail.
• Assist in planning office events and meetings.
• Use resources and software to generate reports and other requested information, and complete daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Retrieve information from carrier websites and keep the Client Management system updated.
• Support the service and production team in reaching agency revenue and retention goals.
• Keep up to date on departmental systems, technology and policies and procedures.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of surety experience preferred but not required.
• A Property & Casualty license is not required until after being hired.
• Strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
