Insurance Intern (Summer 2027)

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) offers a paid summer internship for 2027 focused on building a foundation in Employee Health & Benefits and Business Insurance. The program gives real-world business, risk management and insurance experience through project work and client interaction, and aims to give insight into all areas of the insurance industry.

Key responsibilities

• Gain exposure in account management and benefits analysis, and in the agency and industry overall
• Analyze client information and research for ad-hoc projects
• Take part in lunch and learn sessions and carrier field trips
• Deliver a final group presentation to the senior leadership team
• Work with multiple teams and support actual clients while attending webinars on the industry and the organization

Required profile

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 minimum
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Student entering their senior year toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
• Majors in Risk and Insurance Management, Finance, or a keen interest in insurance, risk management or financial consulting

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities
