About the role
The School of Renewable Natural Resources at Louisiana State University seeks a 9‑month, non‑tenure‑track Instructor to teach natural resource ecology courses. This position supports undergraduate education, advising, and recruitment within the College of Agriculture.
Key responsibilities
- Teach introductory and specialized undergraduate courses in natural resources and ecology for majors and non‑majors.
- Serve as an academic advisor for undergraduate students.
- Participate in recruitment and retention activities, including on‑ and off‑campus events.
- Develop or adapt course materials aligned with the applicant’s expertise.
- Potentially teach additional summer courses for supplemental salary.
Required profile
- Strong teaching background in natural resource ecology or related fields.
- Experience advising undergraduate students.
- Ability to contribute to recruitment and outreach efforts.
- Commitment to the mission of the School of Renewable Natural Resources.
Required skills
- Effective classroom instruction and curriculum development.
