Installation Technician - Fiber and Voice Services

About the role

AT&T is hiring an Installation Technician in Reno, Nevada to install its fiber and voice services inside and outside customers' homes. The technician works independently at customer sites, installing high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi and voice services, and is paid $21.18-$35.67 per hour, with an average starting annual earnings of $57,970 depending on location, experience and training.

Key responsibilities

• Install and activate fiber, broadband, Wi-Fi and voice services at customer homes and businesses
• Put in new lines, climb ladders and plug in and activate networks
• Meet new people daily and solve problems while working independently

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid state driver's license
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and availability for overtime, emergency callouts and holiday work
• Able to lift and move up to 60 lbs (some ladders weigh 50-60 lbs) and weigh less than 325 lbs for ladder safety
• Able to work in small spaces or aloft up to 28 feet
• Ability to identify wire and cable colors
• Qualified on pre-employment assessments
