Inside Sales Representative (Track to Outside Sales)

About the role

MP Systems, a division of Morris Group Inc and a USA Today Top Workplace, is looking for an Inside Sales Representative with a track to outside sales. The company supplies high-pressure coolant systems, chillers, filtration systems and accessories for machine tools to manufacturers of precision machined parts. The role suits a driven person who builds long-standing customer relationships and wants to grow into an outside sales role.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to reach sales targets in the CNC and machinery industry.
• Identify and prioritize potential distributors and end users, and build relationships with distribution partners as trusted advisors.
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations.
• Work with technical and support teams to resolve customer issues quickly.
• Stay informed on industry trends, market developments and competitor activity.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, reports and updates to management.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Proven sales track record, preferably in the CNC and machinery industry.
• Strong understanding of distribution channels and experience selling through distributors.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team, and able to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
