About the role

Ochsner is seeking a compassionate Inpatient Registered Nurse to lead wound‑care delivery for patients in Lafayette. The role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring high‑quality outcomes while supporting a diverse, inclusive team.

Key responsibilities

Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient wound‑care treatment.
Educate patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members on wound‑care management and healing strategies.
Delegate, direct, and collaborate with licensed and ancillary staff to optimize resource use and patient outcomes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards, and stay current on best practices.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
