Information Systems Security Manager

About the role

MANTECH seeks an experienced Information Systems Security Manager to support Special Access Programs (SAP) and SCI activities in Colorado Springs, CO. The role provides day‑to‑day oversight of security policy, accreditation, and incident response for high‑impact defense projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate information system security policies, especially for SAP network infrastructures.
• Analyze network security against DCID 6/3, DITSCAP, DIACAP, JSIG, and NISPOM certification processes and advise customers.
• Create incident‑response procedures, investigate violations, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and system changes that could affect accreditation and recovery processes.
• Participate in self‑inspections, report discrepancies, and coordinate technical security issues with senior staff.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4 years equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of information systems security experience, including 4+ years in an SCI environment.
• Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to undergo a polygraph.
• Ability to travel extensively within the area of responsibility.

Required skills

• Knowledge of DCID 6/3, DITSCAP, DIACAP, JSIG, NISPOM certification processes.
• Experience with SAP and Special Access Program security.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNP, CCISO, or equivalent as required by DoD Directive 8570.01‑M.
