Infection Control Coordinator (Registered Nurse II)

About the role
The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery seeks a licensed Registered Nurse to serve as Infection Control Coordinator for the Alton Mental Health Center, a 24/7 facility. The incumbent will lead infection surveillance, policy development, and provide clinical guidance to staff.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor, review, and investigate all suspected and confirmed infections within the facility.
- Develop, update, and enforce infection control policies and procedures.
- Provide clinical advice and training to treatment staff on infection prevention practices.
Required profile
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license (RN II level).
- Experience in infection control or related clinical settings.
- Ability to work full‑time onsite, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm.
Required skills
- Knowledge of infection control standards and best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement clinical policies.
