Industrial Technology Instructor

About the role

The Industrial Technology Instructor will design, develop, and deliver both credit and non‑credit training programs for manufacturing and processing environments. This position supports students and industry partners by providing hands‑on instruction in a variety of technical subjects at the Helena campus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop curriculum and instructional materials for topics such as plant automation, mechanical systems maintenance, and industrial safety.
• Deliver classroom and lab training on pump maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, industrial electricity, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of training outcomes.
• Collaborate with industry stakeholders to ensure training aligns with current workplace standards.
• Perform related duties as required, including equipment setup and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, engineering technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
• Industry maintenance certification is a plus.
